Give Back

Be the alumnus you wish you'd had at eighteen.

From the page header, kept exactly as written.

Give your time.

The largest contribution most alumni make is an hour of a Saturday morning. The school's term calendar is built around alumni who come back to teach, judge, coach, or sit on a panel.

  • Mentor a current sixth-former
Through the school's UCAS and Common App support programme.
    4 hrs / year
  • Judge the Senior Debating Final
Held each February on campus, alongside three other alumni judges.
    1 evening
  • Run an end-of-term workshop
A workshop in your field for Years 10–13. Two per term.
    Half day
  • Sit on the Alumni Association Council
Three meetings a year. Council elected every three years.
    8 hrs / year
  • Coach a sports team
Cricket, hockey, swimming, debate. Term-time commitment.

Give your network.

The second contribution alumni make is an introduction. To a family. To a recruiter. To another alumnus in another city. None of these cost much; all of them compound.

  • Refer a family considering Dubai Scholars
Speak honestly to a family in your network considering the school.
    When asked
  • Post an internship or graduate role
Posted to the alumni job board and emailed to relevant year groups.
    Per role
  • Host an alumni gathering in your city
We support with logistics and a small budget if needed.
    One evening
  • Introduce two alumni to one another
By far the most common form of give-back. Use the directory; tell us.
