Fifty years from a villa in Deira.
In 1976, Mrs. Madhu Verma opened a small school in a villa in Deira with fewer than a hundred pupils. Fifty years on, Dubai Scholars has educated thousands of students who now live and lead in more than forty countries. This network exists to bring them home — to one another, and to the school that shaped them.
1976
Mrs Madhu Verma opens Play-Pen Nursery in a small villa in Deira, welcoming fewer than 100 pupils and laying the foundation for what would become the Scholars family.
1989
The journey grows as the school becomes Dubai Scholars Private School, moving to its purpose-built campus and expanding its vision for education.
2007
Scholars International Academy opens in Sharjah, extending the Scholars legacy and bringing its educational philosophy to a wider community.
2024
Early Explorers Nursery opens in Al Zahia, welcoming a new generation of young learners into a warm, nurturing, and inspiring early years environment.
2027
The Scholars School opens its doors as the newest addition to the Scholars family, building on a proud legacy while shaping the future of education.
